Gaussian Splats in SketchUp
Gaussian Splatting is a cutting-edge 3D representation technology that takes 2D images or video and creates high-resolution, photorealistic 3D environments. You can think of a Gaussian Splat as an advanced 3D point cloud made up of millions of tiny, semi-transparent elliptical blobs or "splats". Similar to more complicated point clouds, these splats then blend together to form a continuous surface, creating an immersive 3D environment.
The Gaussian Splatting for SketchUp extension brings these photorealistic environments into your SketchUp designs with lower computational costs and an easier workflow.

Gaussian Splatting for SketchUp is an extension available in Extension Warehouse. After installing the extension, you’ll have access to the Gaussian Splatting toolbar and a variety of options allowing you to manage and control splats in your model.
