Saving a Model to Google Drive/One Drive
To save a new model to Google Drive for the first time follow these steps:
Click Save in the Main Menu, Save As from the dropdown options, or click the title of the model.
- A window will appear with a list of locations you can save your model to. If a selected folder contains subfolders, you can then choose from a subfolder if needed.
- After choosing a location for the file, type in what you wish to name it and click Save Here.
- SketchUp will redirect you back to the modeling window. Saving will appear in the Main Menu bar until the save is complete. Once saving completes, the text will switch to Saved.
- The title you assigned to your model should now appear in the Main Menu.
After saving a model for the first time, SketchUp will autosave the file every five minutes by default. You can change this interval in the General section of App Settings.
To manually save a model you have made changes to, click Save and SketchUp will update your existing saved file.
