Plan Management

Note: License management in the Trimble Admin Console is not yet available for all SketchUp accounts. If you need to change your subscription plan and don’t see the options outlined below, see Plan Management for alternate instructions.

SketchUp offers a few different options when it comes to subscriptions. The Trimble Admin Console (TAC) provides all the tools needed to change and manage SketchUp subscription plans under Purchases.

Changing Your Subscription Plan

Only an Account Owner or Secondary Account Owner can modify subscriptions. If you want to change your current subscription to a different one, you can use the Admin Console to choose a new option.

To change your SketchUp subscription to a different plan, open the Admin Console and follow these steps:

  1. In the top navigation bar click Purchases.
  2. Select Subscriptions & Licenses.
  3. Locate the subscription you want to manage.
  4. Click the context menu and click Manage Subscription.
  5. Click Change Subscription.
  6. Select the new subscription from the list.
  7. One of two options will appear:
    • If the cost for the new subscription is higher, click Continue to Checkout to pay the prorated amount for your new subscription.
    • If the cost is lower, click Schedule Downgrade to schedule the subscription change for your next renewal date.

For more information about what happens when you change your subscription plan, see Plan Upgrades and Downgrades.

Auto-Renew Settings

Auto-renew is enabled by default. When enabled, your SketchUp subscription plan will automatically renew on your renewal date. If disabled, all products and features in that plan remain available for the rest of the remaining subscription term. When a plan is not renewed at the end of a subscription term, access to subscription products and features will no longer be available.

To disable your plan’s auto-renew settings, open the Admin Console and follow these steps:

  1. In the top navigation bar click Purchases.
  2. Select Subscriptions & Licenses.
  3. Locate the subscription you want to manage and click Manage Subscription.
  4. Click Cancel Subscription.
  5. In the window that appears, enter a reason for your cancellation and click Cancel Subscription.
  6. Auto-renew is no longer enabled for that subscription.

Warning: Disabling auto-renew does not cancel a subscription plan and will not trigger a refund. For more information see Refunds and Cancellations.

If you want to turn auto-renew back on, follow these same steps. New options will appear allowing you to continue your subscription on your renewal date.

Renewals that fail due to a failed transaction receive a 5-day grace period until services are terminated. A message will appear in SketchUp advising of that subscriptions pending expiration.
