Importing Models, Components, and Images

With the Import option, available in the dropdown found in the Main Menu, you can import other 3D models of the following types into your SketchUp model:

• .skp
• .3ds
• .dae
• .dem
• .dwg
• .dxf
• .kmz
• .stl

When you attempt to import a 3D file you will be prompted to download it as a component. Once imported you can edit or change it just like you would any other component.

You can also import the following 2D file types:

• .dwg
• .dxf
• .jpg
• .png

When you attempt to import a 2D file you will be prompted to save it as an image or a material.
