When you change your plan, there are a few things to keep in mind depending on your current plan and what plan you are changing to.
Upgrading an Annual Plan
When upgrading from one annual subscription plan to another one with more features, a prorated amount from the original plan will be applied to the cost of the upgraded plan based on the term date. This prorated amount appears during checkout. The features from your new subscription will be available immediately after purchase. If the new subscription benefits aren’t immediately available, please logout and log back in.
Downgrading an Annual Plan
Changing your plan to a subscription with less features will only take effect after the end of the current subscription period. When changing your plan, make sure auto-renew is on. Until your auto-renew date, you can continue to use the features of your current subscription. On the auto-renew date, the plan will then renew using the new downgraded plan's price.
Changing from Annual to Monthly
Changing your subscription plan from an annual plan to a monthly plan should only be done at the end of the subscription term to avoid multiple charges. To make sure you aren’t charged again for an annual subscription, the account owner must turn off auto-renew for the current annual plan before purchasing the new monthly subscription. If auto-renew is on, you may be charged for both subscriptions and may not be eligible for a refund on the continuing annual subscription. For more information, see Refunds and Cancellations.
Changing from Monthly to Annual
To upgrade from a monthly plan to an annual plan, the account owner must turn off auto-renew for the current monthly plan and purchase a new annual subscription from the Plans and Pricing page. If auto-renew is on, you may be charged for both subscriptions and may not be eligible for a refund on the continuing annual subscription. For more information, see Refunds and Cancellations.
Upgrading a Monthly Plan
Monthly plans are only available for SketchUp Go and Pro. If you would like to upgrade to SketchUp Studio, see Changing from Monthly to Annual. When upgrading from SketchUp Go Monthly to SketchUp Pro Monthly, the new subscription will be prorated for the rest of the month and begin immediately.
Downgrading a Monthly Plan
Changing your plan to a subscription with less features will only take effect after the end of the current subscription period. When changing your plan, make sure auto-renew is on. Until your auto-renew date, you can continue to use the features of your current subscription. On the auto-renew date, the plan will then renew using the new downgraded plan's price.
