Managing Your 3D Warehouse Profile

Your 3D Warehouse profile is a great way to introduce yourself. Filling out your profile tells other users who you are and where they can connect with you on other platforms.

Logging In

You can always browse 3D Warehouse without logging in. However, you’ll need to sign in using your Trimble ID  to share your creations or download models created by others. Take a look at Trimble ID if you are a new user who needs to create a Trimble ID or get more information on how Trimble ID works.

Other Profiles

You can access your SketchUp and Trimble profiles through the 3D Warehouse profile page. The SketchUp profile contains additional information for the 3D Warehouse profile. Trimble profiles are independent of the other profiles. For more information about Trimble profiles, see Manage My Trimble ID Profile.

Edit a 3D Warehouse Profile

After you access 3D Warehouse, you can edit your 3D Warehouse profile settings. For more information on how to login, see Accessing 3D Warehouse. At the top right of 3D Warehouse, you’ll see your profile picture and display name.

Selecting Edit Profile & Settings opens your 3D Warehouse profile page. The following three sections of settings are available: 

Public Profile

The Public Profile section helps you manage what other users can see on your profile. It contains these settings:

  • Trimble Profile - A link to your Trimble profile.

  • SketchUp Profile - A link to your SketchUp profile. 

  • Display Name - An editable field where you can choose  the name visible to other users.

  • Custom URL - Create a custom URL that links to your profile page on 3D Warehouse. For the URL, add unique text to a standard 3D Warehouse URL: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/by[(your text here]. You can use your custom URL to share your profile with others.

  • About Me - Describe yourself in 1000 or fewer characters. Most users include what type of work they do and even personal details like hobbies or other interests.

Website & Social

Enter the URLs for any other websites or social media accounts you want to share on your 3D Warehouse profile.

Preferences

The Preferences section contains several settings to help you manage who can see your profile and what notifications you receive.

  • Email Notifications - Use these check boxes to control when you receive  email or in-app notifications.

  • Security & Privacy - Select this check box to allow other users to contact you by email.

To edit your 3D Warehouse profile settings, follow these steps:

  1. In 3D Warehouse, click your display name.

  2. Select Edit & Settings. Your 3D Warehouse profile page opens.

  3. Update profile settings.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Edit SketchUp Profile

The SketchUp profile contains information that the 3D Warehouse profile uses, including its profile picture.

You can access the SketchUp profile through the 3D Warehouse profile page. On the SketchUp profile page, you can choose to edit:

  • Profile picture

  • Country or region

  • Industry

  • Preferred language

  • Up to three types of content that interest you
