Dialog Boxes and Trays
Sketchup organizes available features into dialogs, also known as panels. Each panel provides easy access to SketchUp features and broader functionality while modeling.

The following panels are available:

SketchUp provides a default tray with pre-selected panels. The default tray appears on the right side of the modeling window by default. You can dock each available tray on either the left or right side of the interface.

To change the position of a tray, click and drag the tray’s title bar. You can use the references that appear on the screen to dock it on either side of the interface, or leave it as a free floating window.

If you’ve added additional trays, each tray appears as a tab at the bottom of where you docked it. The title bar of each tray contains an option to close the tray. If you’ve docked the tray, you can pin it so that it’s always visible.
To further customize your trays, click Window > Manage Trays.

In Manage Trays, you can:
Change which panels appear in each tray
Create new trays
Rename a tray
Delete a tray
