Spatial Preview
Spatial Preview is a SketchUp extension for MacOS that streams a SketchUp model to your Apple Vision Pro. The Spatial Preview extension offers:
Experience-based design – For large scale designs, the virtual environment lets you walk through a model and check sightlines and clearances before you build.
Human-scale prototyping – Viewing smaller scale designs on a 1:1 perspective can help with ergonomics, proportions, and lighting.

Getting Started with Spatial Preview
Spatial Preview is available in Extension Warehouse. To use the extension with SketchUp you’ll need:
A MacOS device with MacOS 27 or newer
SketchUp 2026 or newer
An Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 27 or newer
Before you begin, make sure you are logged into your Mac and the Vision Pro with the same Apple ID. To get started with Spatial Preview, follow these steps:
In SketchUp, download and install the Spatial Preview extension. The extension toolbar will appear and can be pinned to your interface.

Turn on your Vision Pro and connect to your Mac using Mac Virtual Display.
Back in SketchUp, launch Spatial Preview. The status dashboard will appear.

Select Start Preview. Your model will begin syncing to your headset.
If prompted, choose your Vision Pro from the device list that appears.
Known Issues
Spatial Preview is a SketchUp Labs feature and still a work in progress. You may encounter the following issues:
Larger complex models may fail to load in the headset. Apple recommends you only attempt to view models with less than 250,000 triangles.
New materials added to a model already streaming to a headset may sometimes appear as black or override default materials and require restarting the preview to fix.
