Components in 3D Warehouse

3D Warehouse offers a wide variety of components you can add to your model. In addition to the normal way you would use 3D Warehouse, you can use the Components panel to search 3D Warehouse for components to use in your models.

To get started, open the Components panel and navigate to the Select tab. You can then use one of the following methods to find components on 3D Warehouse:

Use the dropdown menu to select one of SketchUp’s premade collections like Architecture, Landscape, People, or Transportation. These collections appear in every new model by default and are listed as favorites. When selected, SketchUp will access 3D Warehouse and search for components that fit into that collection.

Tip: If your model is geolocated, you can use the Components panel to search for nearby models. Select the Nearby Models collection and SketchUp will find other geolocated models in 3D Warehouse that are in the same area as yours.

Use the 3D Warehouse search box to see a list of components matching your search term.

Of course, you can always search the 3D Warehouse like you normally would. Once you find a component you like, click Download and place it in your model. For more information on how that works, see 3D Warehouse.
