Ever hear yourself or a friend say, “I wish I could work from home all the time?” Those sentiments are legit, but we are now facing it as a reality. COVID-19 is a global crisis that has everyone working twice as hard to take care of themselves, their family, friends and still trying to do their jobs.

We’re in it with you! Our teams are currently working from home, doing the best we can to support our customers and trying not to skip a beat when it comes to giving you our best support. We may not be as rapid as we like to be, but we are here, being resilient and open to change as it comes our way. Please excuse our dust while we help you build in this brave new world.

SketchUp Viewer for VR

SketchUp Viewer for VR enables you to engage colleagues and clients in experiential design review: a powerful new way to evaluate, coordinate, and communicate in Mixed Reality.

With the application’s collaboration functionality, you can host multi user see-what-we-see viewing sessions. Other colocated users can join you in the same room or via a remote location. With virtual reality (VR), you and your teammates can virtually inhabit a design, helping to facilitate clear and efficient communication about complex spatial issues.

With SketchUp Viewer, you also have the ability to interact with your designs as virtual scale models, supplementing or alleviating the need to build physical models of your projects.

With SketchUp Viewer, you can view and interact with SketchUp models using a different VR or Mixed Reality devices. Visit the appropriate Support Site for your device at one of the links below for details about system requirements and using your device and controllers:

The application includes many of the viewing, navigation, and information tools that you'll recognize if you’re already familiar with SketchUp. You can easily fly around your project models by choosing from the list of the scenes that you’ve created in SketchUp, toggle layer visibility on or off to control model visibility, and use the Tape Measure tool and Entity Information tool to quickly access important information about your model.
